Kim's Cubby – Walking the Rock Country in Kakadu

NTWF | Kim's Cubby: Walking the Rock Country in Kakadu

Join an exciting lineup of children’s authors and illustrators at Kim’s Cubby for readings and activities designed to inspire a lifelong love of books and play.

Go on an adventure with Diane Lucas, Ben Tyler and Emma Long to explore the Rock Country in Kakadu National Park. Listen to a reading about this special place beneath a shady tree, and learn about the Bininj names for animals and plants. Then go on a walk to see what kinds of plants and animals are around you. Come back and create your own drawing, painting or sculpture reflecting some inspiration from the walk!

Kim’s Cubby is held in honour of Darwin children’s author Kim Caraher’s life and legacy.

Generously supported by the Caraher and Thompson families.
