The festival-ending day is one for the 'bucket list’!
Set against this Majestic Central Australian backdrop, the Ormiston Day Out is the most anticipated annual event of the Desert Song Festival. ‘Music in the Park’ starts at 12.30pm. At 3.45pm the iconic ‘A cappella in the Gorge’ kicks off at the waterhole. You can even take a plunge in the icy waters as you take in the most sublime musical offerings presented by festival artists, musicians and choirs, including the Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir and so much more.
Ormiston Gorge (Kwartatuma) is a 90-minute drive from Alice Springs. Car parking is limited, and car-pooling is recommended. Comfortable coach transport to ‘A cappella in the Gorge’ will enhance your pleasure when attending this event and. Event attendees are encouraged to take up this option.
