The NT is a place that truly embraces inclusivity and is welcoming to visitors from all walks of life. You'll find that accessibility is not just a matter of physical infrastructure; it extends to the compassionate and helpful nature of the people. Their genuine care and commitment to making your visit memorable ensure that you can explore and enjoy all that the NT has to offer with ease and confidence.

Discover a variety of tours and attractions tailored to different access needs, including hearing loss, vision loss, wheelchair access, and high support requirements. You can narrow down your search by region and accessibility preferences. If you can't find your preferred tour or attraction, we suggest contacting the business directly. Many tourism operators are happy to accommodate special requests whenever possible.

Wheelchair accessible travel itineraries

Learn about the kangaroos, dingoes and other wildlife at the Alice Springs Desert Park, where their pathway system is fully accessible, and they even have wheelchairs to hire.

Discover the many accessible museums and art galleries across the Northern Territory, from the Darwin Military Museum which is housed inside the original concrete bunker and allows you to explore the bombing of Darwin, to the world-class visual and performing arts of the Araluen Arts Centre in Alice Springs.

Watch a Territory sunset at Cullen Bay where the accessible path leads you to unobstructed views of the harbour, and a short drive away you can enjoy a variety of cuisine, handcrafted goods and entertainment at the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets which runs from April to October.

These are some of the many accessible attractions the NT has to offer.
